Adhesive tape foam
Open-cells adhesive strip which is used on crosspieces sides either as soundproofing material or sealing strip to better hold solid or glass panels and to mark the distance between panels' edges.

C-shaped starting or Closing profile
It is a "C"-shaped aluminium profile which is used as starting piece for partition walls, plasterboard partitions and/or walls. Sometimes it is used as stiffening profile on top of free-standing partitions in order to secure the whole composition. In some other cases, when partitions end in the middle of the room, it is used to hide the ending steel post.

Closing pin

A short thin piece of metal fixed on the cupboard base and top by means of screws in order to stop the rod hook and close the wooden doors.

Crosspiece
Steel horizontal piece settled inside the partition metal frame whose main purpose to join together two posts and to mark the distance between panels' edges. To help a faster assembly work, it is made in one laser worked piece and snapped on posts.

Engraving
V-cutted glass made with a convex milling cutter whose maximum depth is 0.9 mm. Engravings are a pure aesthetic solution and, according to the tool that has been used. They can be matt/satin finish on transparent glass or bright/transparent finish on etched/frosted/ground glass according to the customer taste. At any rate the cutting work has to be done before tempering the glass.

Extruded gasket
An extruded gasket is a semi flexible PVC profile which is inserted in the appropriate channels set on both sides of the post. It is used either as soundproofing material or sealing strip to better hold solid or glass panels and to mark the distance between panels' edges.

Filing drawers
Black powder painted steel support sliding on ball bearing runners where horizontal filing folders can be filed. Folders have both 330 mm and 390 mm. width. It is fastened by means of screws on the drawer front panel. Two filing drawers take the place of a pair of wooden doors. They are always sold in pair but, in case of different requirements is it possible to install up to 3 filing frames per cupboard unit.

Filing frame
Black powder painted steel support sliding on ball bearing runners where horizontal filing folders can be filed. Folders have both 330 mm and 390 mm. width. Usually filing frames are fitted in cupboards' frame, hanged to the wooden sides and closed with wooden doors. In this case, the filing frame takes the place of the shelf. They are always sold in pair but in case of different requirements is it possible to install up to 3 filing frames per cupboard unit.

Fitting element profile
Aluminium "F"-shaped profile which is fastened uprightly on the main wall where the fitting element has to be assembled. This profile has been designed for hidden sawed panel and to take up the rooms' difference in height.

Glass framework

Glass frameworks consist of different pitches and/or modules hanged to the posts or wooden sides by means of appropriate steel hooks or ABS male connectors to female plugs. The framework consists of different anodised aluminium profiles: double glass frame where the glass almost coplanar to wooden panels and single glass frame where the glass is settled in the middle of the frame. Double glazed elements can be fitted on both partition walls and equipped partitions, whereas single glazed elements can be fitted only on partition walls.

Horizontal piece (Base/Top)
It is equivalent to wall partition crosspiece but it consists of chipboard covered with melamine, laminate or veneer.

Inside fitting element
An inside fitting element is made up of some chipboard panels that can be covered with melamine, laminate or veneer. It is usually cut in place because made to measure to fit to the room's dimensions. It is usually assembled between two standard elements.

Lateral fitting panel
A lateral fitting panel is a chipboard panel that can be covered with melamine, laminate or veneer usually used to seal partitions to the side walls or partitions.

Levelling foot
Levelling feet are secured at posts' bases and can be adjusted by means of special screwdrivers. They have to set to plumb, i.e. exactly upright, before fixing the metal frame and before closing it with panels.

Metal shelves
Thin steel sheet folded all around and painted with epoxy powder aluminium finish fixed in equipped partitions' sides. Under the shelf is possible to hang vertical filing folders at pitch 330 mm.

Module ("M")
Linear measure that refers to partitions height. Partitions basic height measure is 410 mm., therefore all other height dimensions are based on its multiple. The Module is a very important characterizing feature especially in horizontal or vertical partitions especially in case of glass elements with engravings. In case of horizontal partition walls, all horizontal panels or glasses can be 410 mm. (1M) or 820 mm. (2) height.

Pitch ("P")
Linear measure that refers to partitions width. Partitions basic width measure is 500 mm., therefore all other width dimensions are based on its multiple. To be more precise, equipped partitions' elements are usually 500 mm. and 1000 mm. wide, whereas partition walls' elements are 500 mm., 1000 mm., 1500 mm. and 2000 mm. wide. Both product lines include a standard technical element at pitch 150 mm.

Post
A post is a steel vertical piece settled inside the partition's metal frame as load-bearing framework. Posts have rows of slots at pitch 32 mm. on the four sides where panels and covering elements can be set (fixed) by means of metal hooks. There are many holes which can be used to settle (to go through with) wire management.

Pression spring
Pressure springs are secured at posts' upper extremity to take up the rooms' difference in height by pressing top-down. It has to be use only in case of concrete or plasterboard ceilings which means it is absolutely forbidden in case of any other kind of false ceiling.

Rod
Chromed steel profile of variable length fastened to the locking mechanism and provided with metal hooks that clasp on pins fixed on the cupboard base and top. Rods are secured to the inside door panel by means of ABS guiding pieces fastened with screws.

Side
It is equivalent to wall partition posts but it consists of chipboard covered with melamine, laminate or veneer. It can be of two different types: intermediate when it stands between two cupboards (partition wall element) or end-side when it stands at the end of a cupboard (partition wall element).

Silk-screen process/finish

A way of printing on the glass surface by forcing paint through a specially prepared stretched piece of cloth onto it. Silk-screen printing stencil can be ad hoc committee with customers' logo and/or business name and/or letters and/or other pattern. The standard printing stencil pattern looks like Venetian blinds. At any rate the silk-screen process has to be done before tempering the glass because in this way the paint melt and crystallize inside the glass.

Single swing door with framework

The single swing door is made up of the traditional doorway aluminium case which is also the door's ledge and an aluminium framework door fitted with a chipboard panel 28 mm. thick or a tempered glass 8 mm. thick. To fit the glass in the appropriate slot there is an aluminium adapter that makes suitable the framework profile slot width (28 mm.) for the glass thickness (8 mm.).

Skirting board
A skirting board is made up of chipboard that can be covered with melamine, aminate, aluminium foil or veneer. It is part of the element and it is used for sealing solid partitions walls at the floor level.

Solid panel
A solid panel is made up of chipboard that can be covered with melamine, laminate or veneer. It is part of the all partition walls' "blind" elements and of all equipped partition back sides.

Starox
A very special anodising process made in appropriate bath tanks in which the aluminium profiles are coloured in many different colour shade by an appropriate electrolytic bath that decompose the rainbow colours. All aluminium profiles subjected to this particular treatment look like stainless steel finish but are not effected by fingerprints. All Starox colour are available in both glossy and matt finish.

Sublimation process
The sublimation process consists of an additional processing to the ordinary painting process whose aim is to simulate the wood effect on aluminium profiles. The first step is to paint with specific powders, and the transition of section bars on a packing machine, which seals the sublimation effect film, through side thermo-welding. The sublimating film has the pattern of the desired wood effect, which has to be fixed on aluminium profile in the appropriate furnace where the desired wood-effect pattern is transferred from the film to the profile. At the end of this process, the film is removed.
The aesthetic result is complying with wood but with the aluminium performances and characteristics.

Variable corner
A variable corner consists of three, four or five aluminium profiles which rotate on a central cylindrical aluminium profile which enables the angle opening. It provides 2 ways, 3 ways or 4 ways connections.

Vertical Fitting Panel
A vertical fitting panel is a chipboard panel that can be covered with melamine, laminate or veneer usually used to seal partitions to the ceiling.

Wooden doors
Wooden doors are the frontal closing pieces of all equipped partitions' cupboards.
